Agasthi’s journey thus far:

On 14th February 2023, Agasthi put India on the International map by winning the first BMX medal for the country

14-year-old boy made HISTORY

Agasthi’s cycling journey began on August 15, 2014, when, at the age of 5, he completed a 67 km ride followed by a 100 km ride. He continued by participating in the Sprint triathlon in Hyderabad Triathlon, placed first in U18 Goa Triathlon and finished 10th in Desaru Triathlon at Malaysia.

At age 8, Agasthi discovered pump track cycling at The Wall Ride Park in Hyderabad. Mentored by Gokul Krishnan, he won the Red Bull Junior Championships and became the fastest Indian on the pump track. He then shifted to Race BMX at age 10.

Agasthi attended a 2-week camp at Camp Woodward in Lake Tahoe and raced internationally in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the US, further honing his BMX skills and advancing his career.
